What Can You Do with the My BMW App?

The My BMW app aims to fully integrate your new BMW into your digital life. With the My BMW app, Raleigh drivers can take advantage of a wide range of features, from vehicle status updates to financial services. Take a look at some of the ways you can use the My BMW App on a day-to-day basis:

  • Vehicle Status: Check your BMW’s diagnostics, such as vehicle range and window/door lock status, as well as locate your vehicle with GPS, monitor your car’s surroundings, unlock/lock your doors, start your engine, and receive maintenance alerts with the vehicle status settings in the My BMW app.
  • Navigate: Explore the surrounding areas, locate points of interest, and spot parking at a glance with the navigation features in the navigation portion of the My BMW app! For even more detailed information, sync your maps to the BMW navigation system and get real-time traffic updates or save addresses. 
  • Electric Features: Have a new BMW EV? The My BMW app allows you to check your current battery charge, available electric range for driving in Cary, and find compatible charging stations in your area. 
  • Financial Services: Make payments, access statements, find payoff information, and receive payment reminders through the My BMW app for easy financial management.

How to Set Up the My BMW App

Ready to enjoy all the features the My BMW app can provide? Complete your My BMW app setup in a few easy steps: 

  1. Download the My BMW app onto your compatible smartphone and accept the terms and conditions. 
  2. Log into the app with your BMW ID. If you don’t have one, you’ll need to create a BMW account. 
  3. Create a secure 4-digit PIN for accessing the app.
  4. Press “Add Vehicle” and enter your BMW’s 17-digit VIN.
  5. Once your VIN is submitted, a security code will be sent to your BMW which is valid for up to 3 hours. Select “Com” on your BMW infotainment screen and
  6.  select BMW Messages to find the security code.
  7. Enter the security code into the My BMW app and hit “Confirm”.
