The Importance of Changing Cabin Air Filters

When was the last time you had your cabin air filter replaced in your car?

Did you know the cabin air filter is responsible for:

  •  Cleaning the air that comes in through the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system
  • The cabin filter catches dust, pollen and other airborne materials to help improve airflow into and prevent clogging
  • And it reduces unpleasant odors that filter into your car from outside

How often should the cabin air filter be replaced?

Replacement frequency varies from how often you drive and where you live. Most manufacturers recommend replacing the cabin filter every 12,000 – 15,000 miles.

If you live in the city, and sit in stop-and-go traffic, then your car is filtering smog and pollution from construction and other vehicles on the road.  If you live in an area where there is a lot of sand, dirt, or dust, this can mean the cabin filter needs to be replaced more frequently as well.
